Why we need to talk about soft skill

For some years now, we have been talking more and more intensively and frequently about soft skills, the "non-technical" skills such as problem solving, teamworking and leadership that complement the technical skills (hard skills) within a person's skill set.

We are talking about them more and more because, in the face of the many upheavals experienced by the world of work between pandemics, great resignation, widening skills gaps, the pressuring of digital transformation and more, several studies-not least that of the World Economic Forum devoted to the future of work - have indicated that these will be vital skills for tomorrow's workers. Those who possess them already achieve better job performance today and, more importantly, will also have an important competitive advantage over other professionals in their field in the future when their profession or field of work undergoes inevitable transformations due to technological advances, corporate reorganizations and so on.
